| Vision, Cabinet Plan, and Goals
The Governor's vision of "Jobs Today – Jobs Tomorrow" is underpinned by three initiatives:
- 21st Century Jobs Initiative: Create 72,000 jobs by investing in efforts that will establish Michigan as a worldwide center for research and innovation.
- Jobs Today Initiative: Create 36,000 jobs through state infrastructure improvement projects over the next three years.
- Empowered Citizens Initiative: Empower Michigan's young people and adults to compete for and win jobs.
Governor Granholm on Leveraging Strengths
We are looking to harness the power of information technology in ways that will enable information flows across agencies and to our constituents in order to generate economic efficiencies and growth. Ideally, this "cross-boundary change" will reorganize agencies and activities to provide better access to information and services for citizens and businesses looking to live, work, and thrive in Michigan.
